Education
Bart is a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science and Stony Brook University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Social Work (MSW).
Community Involvement
Bart is deeply involved in his community. He has served on the board of directors of the Science Museum of Long Island, coached soccer, and lectured at universities including Stony Brook, UMASS at Amherst, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and Franklin College. He is a member of the Dean's Advisory Board of Stony Brook University's School of Social Welfare and was the first president of its Alumni Council. In 2001, he received the Distinguished Alumni Award. He is currently Chairman of the Franklin College Family Association, the school his daughter attends in Lugano, Switzerland.
Jazz Productions
A jazz enthusiast, Bart has produced concerts in Europe, including the opening night concert for the 2003 Cannes Film Festival™. During MIDEM™ '03, also in Cannes, he presented the legendary Herbie Mann, as well as Marcus Johnson and the Prix Victoire winners.
